PayContext is a browser extension designed to add salary context and hiring-source signals to SEEK job results. This policy explains what data the extension processes and how that data is handled.
PayContext does not collect personal data for transmission to us, does not run analytics, and does not track your browsing across websites. PayContext runs only on SEEK pages covered by its permissions and processes page information locally in your browser.
PayContext stores data locally in your browser's extension storage to improve performance and keep results consistent as you move between SEEK search results and job detail pages. This data is not sent to PayContext servers or shared with third parties.
The local job detail cache may include job title, employer name, location, classification or category, work type, advertiser type, salary values or salary period, and a limited excerpt of job description text used to improve matching and context.
Cached job detail entries automatically expire after up to 7 days, and older or stale entries are removed when PayContext refreshes its local cache.
PayContext does not provide a guaranteed salary for an individual role and does not claim that market guidance is the exact pay offered by an employer.
PayContext requests only the permissions needed for its core functionality:
PayContext does not sell, transmit, or share personal information with third parties. The extension does not use external analytics, advertising, or remote data collection services.
Because processing stays local to your browser, PayContext is designed to minimize unnecessary data exposure. Removing the extension removes its access to SEEK pages, and locally stored extension data can be cleared by removing the extension or clearing extension storage.
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect product changes or compliance updates. Any changes will be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
